    Windows and other languages

I may have a interesting turn in my career at some point.

workstations (mandarin) being managed by a server in english?

Workstations and server in mandarin but connecting remotely with a laptop in english to do administrative tasks etc.

When you remotely connect to a computer im guessing it will be the computers native language. Is there anyway to make it into english when you remote connect?

Last one i promise , Connecting a english language computer to a domain in mandarin?

Get the English MUI pack for window XP from MSDN and then change the administrator user's default language to English. ( I think it is in control panel -> Regional and language option ). This'll change all of the text to English.

How can I acquire Windows MUI?
The Windows XP/2000 MUI is sold only through Volume Licensing programs such as the Microsoft Open License Program (MOLP / Open), Select, and Enterprise agreement (or with a new computer as an OEM version at customer request). It is not available through retail channels.

Mehhh anyway i can get this to test about at home?

Im looking for the XP version

I only got the English to French , Japanese , Korean version of the MUI . You could try e-mail Microsoft up and ask them nicely . I did set up a Chinese user account awhile back ( on a English window) and it worked fine.

If you do manage to get a version of english MUI then you'll also need this

If your uni has got MSDN then I am sure that they'll have the MUI with it . After all that is how I got mine .

It comes on a separate cd. I think you'll have to ask whoever is in charge of the MSDN subscription for a copy.
