    Try Opera? Also in Firefox there might be an option to block popups. Also disable MS messenger (the right one) if you are not using it.
    I used to have adverts flashing on my screen and messenger was the problem. Mind you it was a few years ago and good modern firewalls might prevent this now, but old habits linger and I always disable messenger anyway.

    Messenger was disabled in sp2 for XP, hopefully he's at least that secure, otherwise we could be here all day lol...

    Try a deep scan with Ad-aware (if you havent already), also try A-squared http://www.emsisoft.com/en/ free edition, as its a very thorough trojan hunter.

    Note: A-squared can take a while on the deep scan, so make a cuppa ^^

    i tried using the software, it finds extra adware n stuff, but the popups are still there.

    i kina noticed a pattern tho, they only come up if one of my browsers is running.

    they start as soon as i start up IE, when i load firefox tho it doeasnt come up till a few minutes. and then they just come back periodically.

    If i look at another Debt collectors or Party Poker popup im gna put ma fist thru it

    LOL

    Show us the "startup" tab in msconfig
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    all the randomly lettered ones involving rundll32 are your spyware

    and they can't easily be disposed of, as any attempt to remove one means another will pop up in its place
