USB2 > LPT under Windows

Does anyone know if it is possible to get a USB2 port to behave or be recognised as an LPT port under Windows XP Pro?

The problem has arisen as remote workers signing onto our servers via Remote Desktop are unable to print to their USB printers. I realise they need a LPT printer to print locally from a Remote Desktop session but these days laptops don't support physical LPT ports and most printers aren't LPT anyway. I found some software but sadly it doesn't work under Windows and fails to integrate with the Windoes LPT/COMM service....

Any ideas?

How about a PCMCIA > Parallel adapter? The USB ones are crap for your purposes - they merely use USB printing and convert the output to parallel if you will, so they don't appear as parallel ports, but Maplin do a CardBus adapter that installs two REAL parallel ports; Quatech do one as well, which is VERY good (with a bit of tweaking it supports things like parallel dongles for software licensing), but it's pricier.

But a PCMCIA>Parallel adaptor won't connect to a USB printer. I still need to use a USB printer but have the port recognised by Windows as a LPT port.
