    reinstalling windows

probadly should have done a poll, but i was wondering how often ppl reinstall windows or dont at all. Mine just recently has become kinda slow and sluggish (yes i do regular defrags, minimal progs in the background etc..) so i was thinking about reinstalling xp but it takes so long then you have to set it up the way you like lol

there's a program called nlite you can use to make your own custom windows installation disk, you basically make a copy of windows, apply all your settings etc and even you product key, then it creates an .iso, burn that to disk and you can install from that, once you install it all your setting will be already done,so makes it quicker to do each time, you can even 'lighten' windows by removing components you do'nt need which also speeds up installation

Clean the registry too. Helps sometimes.

What I tend to do is do a clean install, add your essential apps, run all necessary updates, get it just how you like it & then create an image of the install. Then you can restore the clean image instead of farting about reinstalling windoze.
