Now here's a rarity... Microsoft wont' let my give them my money

I'm trying to convert my Office 2007 trial into a full version, but when I try to buy a key online... a pretty much blank page appears before me. Better still, the place I'd get a student version from won't ship media until May.

My trial runs out at the end of the month.

I'm actually struggling to hand over money to Microsoft... amazing!

It attempts to use hippyfox when I click the appropriate button in Office. Copying the URL it visits into IE7 gives the same result.

Guess I could try changing the default browser... great.

Rang Microsoft support today. They were very helpful

They've issued me a hotfix: they told me to go buy it from a shop.

    Amazing.

is it any cheaper to buy it online than to get a retail box? If not, why not get a retail version anyway?

Well I can get Office 2007 Standard (exactly what I need) for under £60 on a Student scheme, but the media isn't shipping 'till May.

So basically, I'm completely screwed. Unless I source an educational version from elsewhere for about £110.

There's no way in hell I'm paying £300 for a full on retail copy.
