Hi all,
For the last few months (not sure exactly how long), my Windows XP periodically stops me (or my wife) from logging in.
XP is set up with two user accounts, that both have admin rights.
Normally, we simply click user icon, type the password, and away we go.
What happens now is one of two things:
1. You click, and the password entry box appears, but you can't type anything into it. To get round this, you click on the desktop area, then hit CTRL ALT DEL, to get the other password entry dialog up (which works).
2. You click, the password entry box appears, you CAN type your password, but you get the message "Did you forget your password" (which is so unbelievably patronising!), even though the password is correct.
Rebooting solves the problem. I think it only happens if someone is already logged in, but its entirely sporadic.
Anyone else seen this behaviour, or have any ideas?
Thanks,
Mut.
