A question for a Mozilla thunderbird expert.

Well I'm not the only one using my computer, and all the mail
comes into inbox.....well what I have done is created another directory under inbox and moved all my mail to it for storing and for reference, but I can't find away of putting a password on (i.e. just for that one directory).

    any ideas thanks.

Well, if you're not the only one using your computer, then why don't you have multiple logons? That way you can have separate mailboxes going to different user accounts. It doesn't make sense to have a single instance of thunderbird on that single logon but have it for multiple users'

Well agreed in principle, but it's only two people and have two computers 5' apart both connected to the internet, mines a later one with a fairly reasonable speaker setup (no room for other computer which I gave to my son), so my son prefers the best one and only one for his main interest of music and why he is using it he sometimes types letters, does spreadsheets, uses autoroute, surfs the net, receives email etc.

It would be a bit nasty banning him from using my computer or saying "sod off and use your own computer".
