Moving Default Location of Windows Desktop Files

    Hi guys,

I know it is possible to move My Documents on to a different drive and have Windows update all the links so it still works correctly with all the programs. For example, I have My Documents set up on my D:\ drive where I have significantly more space than on my C:\ drive.

The question I'm asking is, is the same idea possible with Windows Desktop? i.e. can all the files etc I drop on to the desktop be dropping onto a location on the D:\ or E:\ for example?

Any comments, suggestions or anything else are more than welcome, as usual

Can't be bothered to find the registry entry, but if you grab TweakUI from Microsoft, there's an option in that (My Computer > Special Folders) to change the location for many of the user folders.

You'll need to log back on/reboot/kill the Explorer.exe process for the changes to take effect.
