i put a different motherboard in my pc and then boot up ubuntu edgy as usual.will it reconfigure everything for my computer?

Hmm - well I had a redhat distro set up on an AMD processor and I switched it to an Intel mobo - it didn't work - which thinking about it is probably not surprising as the correct kernel modules probably weren't loaded. Whether it could have been made to work, I don't know, but as it wasn't a critical issue, I didn't bother.
