    Updating the HAL driver in XP

    how to i get it to update so that it sees the fact that i have now upgraded to a X2 chip from a single core chip ? - other then reinstalling windows........

    It should see it automatically. If not download the AMD dualcore driver. If that doesn't work delete the processor from device manager and reboot.
