    block msn from connecting?

    how do i block access to the internet used when connecting to msn? i know you can stop it running by using the registry.
    what do i have to add to hosts?

    I'm sure there must be a list of messenger servers around somewhere, then simply adding their name and the IP 127.0.0.1 to the hosts file should be all that is needed.

    Otherwise, if you've got an application aware firewall that can be password protected, use that to block all access by messenger to the internet

    The latter doesn't block web messenger though.

    don't happen to have an updated list do you my friend? I'm having trouble discovering said list... most sites seem to relate to 5.0 version...
    would be much helpful.

    No, sorry mate, I haven't a clue where you would find such lists, hence my suggestion of a application aware firewall
