It's a bit hard to figure out the solution when you only know what the net problem is

The fact that I'm actually part of some of the Linux groups that maintain the distros suggest that I may have joined these groups for other reasons than you.

So instead of trying to find reasons to put me down for offering you valid advice, how about start reading the advice offered and start learning and questioning why no-ones helping you and you have to post on every forum you can for basic questions like " what day is it"

ahhh you typed while I was typing madduck,

I tend not to post to keefs threads any more, as it appears do most other people......on both this forum and the ubuntu forums, he took your bit of light humour as you agreeing with him that I'm pathetic etc etc etc.

Does hexus need users like this, rude, add no value, and don't respect the forum rules.

    Keef do the following

    1) Run the following command at the terminal:-

    Code:

    sudo /etc/init.d/dbus start

    2) Then run services-admin and enable the System Communication Bus (dbus).

These commands are usually run once starting unbuntu up (typing onto the keyboard while the machine is not turned on may not resolve the problem), and may best be followed with a hint of sarcasm and knowing that the advice appears to be rather sound and a well documented solution.

P.S these commands are listed in 1 followed by 2 to ensure they are followed in this order

    Tig,

    as requested

    [sarcasm]

are they the same steps that are documented in the forum thread he read and I've referenced to him, and the same ones I've posted in the quote marks for him to follow .......yes, I think they are.

Yes mate they are, hyperlinks are tricksy things and should be followed with the same sarcasm suggested in the final solution

Sometimes you need to redefine the problem hehe

you seem to be having a hell of a lot of problems with Ubuntu - I'm all for people trying out new and exciting stuff, but at some point you have to ask yourself "is this really for me?"

    grow up?
strange how you started stalking my replies on both forums and as soon as i'd stated being a member on ubuntu you persisted to follow posts with stating the obvious from other people when instead i was stating problems with the suggestions.
    like this.
i DID that i said this previously and it DOESNT work...
    i wouldn't make it up:|

You are very wrong in every way.

I tried to help you by offering you sound advice, then when I saw your attitude, I stoppped. I only posted the last thread was because you berated me for not posting it on hexus.

Ask yourself this, if I'm stating the obvious - why can you not grasp it if its that obvious. You seem totally incapable of reading posts without taking it as a personal attack.

Look at the posts other people are making - they are all being sarcastic at you, or questioning your attitude, ask yourself why ?

you said you'd followed the results in the forum thread I suggested you re-read, I gave you the exact commands to type, I then asked you if you got any errors, and you've not responded, how is that stating the obvious, if you want help you've got to provide information and not start flaming people when they ask for more information.

No one called you a liar or said you hadn't done what you said you'd done, but if its still not working you need to tell us why

eg: I did the commands, go no errors or warnings, or I did the commands but got this error "sorry command not found" when I typed $X

Even now after your slating me and I'm still offering you reasonable advice and explainations as to why its not working and why your getting into a jam on both this forum and others with the responses because you don't listen and take everything as a presonal attack
