LG GGC-H20L Issues!!

Just installed my new drive and noticed it was firmware 1.02, so I immediately updated to 1.03. While flashing the screen went garbled and it crashed. I tried it again and same thing.

Right now I can boot into windows and play 3 seconds of a DVD before it stops playing and stalls windows forcing me to hard reset.

So, I ran it into safe mode and flashed back to 1.02, apparently successfully (so the flash program said), but I've still got the same problem.....its just wont play anything!! If a dvd is in the drive on boot up it just locks up and forces a hard reset.

I've tried blu-rays, HD-DVDs and DVDs and nothing works. It will read the disk as being in the drive but wont play. I've tried playback via TMT 3, Media Player and Media Centre in Vista and Win 7 x86. Also with and without AnyDVD HD.

Any ideas???

Can you run/install any software via CD on the drive?

Nope, playing audio CDs or reading CD results in crashing too

Just put the drive into my main PC and it works perfectly with all formats!!! There must be some issue with my HTPCs SATA controller.

Its a Abit AN-M2HD, anyone got any ideas?
