    best burning app for linux?

yeah same as before just curious and after alternatives...
tried K3B and that seemed so laggy but may have been a dodgy disc...
i use the "CD/DVD creator" for general backup. but for cds... i have no clue bar K3B...
anything nero like or completely different. i don't mind.
just what you guys have found is nice to use and not too resource hungry?
    cheers

Good riddance. Wish I'd done it about a year ago.

instead of constantly asking "which is best" as thats just personal opinion.

Search the ubuntu repo's for dvd burners and try them - see which one YOU like rather than which ones we like

If this was a one off qeustion I wouldn't mention it, but you keep asking "what is best"

you've got the whole repo at your finger tips - try some and find what you like.

Always good advice. Linux is about choice, and what is best for one isn't always best for another.

That said, if you don't like K3b, I think you may be a hard person to please. K3b, like many GUI burning apps, is really just a front end to the standard command line utilities cdrecord, cdrdao, and growisofs etc.

I'm a long time K3B user and on my PC it runs just as fast as nero does under windows. Have you had a play around in the configuration options?
