    ID3 Tag remover

    Hi

Many of you may use this small, usefull utility. I lost mine and I can't get it off the makers' site 'cause the .rar appears corrupted.
Does anyone know where to get it? It's only a small file - the one with the green 'ID3' icon for removing MP3 tags.

I cannot help with the app you are looking for sadly but I can help with this alternative that I have been using for a long time now!

    http://www.mp3tag.de/en/

It's free and is easy to use, just load a bunch of mp3a into it and hit CTRL+R to remove all tags

I also do not like to use tags as my car mp3 cd player displays the tag instead of track time when tags are embedded in files

Get DBpoweramp and the ID3 plugin. Its one of the most amazing tools ive used for ID3 tagging. The power it has is brilliant

Yup, which it can do to a single file, or an entire drive of MP3's within about 3 clicks

Why do you want to remove ID3 tags?

The way I see it, they are sometimes very usefull, especially if you have a large collection, and they only add a tiny amount to the total size of each file.

Know there used to be a tool called 'Tag and Rename' that used to beable to find Tags, sure it had the option to remove them as well

That'll be Tag&Rename (http://www.softpointer.com/tr.htm) thats what i use. Commercial software and are others out there that are free and just as goo, but i like the interface and it works for me

You can indeed clear the tags with this.

If the tags are wrong, you would be better correcting them rather than just deleting them
