    Vista Home Premium EDU.

I noticed this on Ebuyer, and was wondering if it was the x64 or x86 version, or a choice of both?

If it is just the x86 version, would I be able to use an x64 disc and use the key from the EDU version?

Before anyone starts complaining, I am eligible for it

    Thanks.

I have the same edition, its only x86 in the box but in small print on the back states something like "x64 media can be request but incurs a cost".......Though I haven't tried it yet (I wanted to install it as x86), I can only presume that if you had a disc with x64 on, you could use the serial key.

Can I just ask, is it an upgrade, as in, you install it, then install again over the top?

Clunk I have the Edu edition all I did was borrow a copy of a Vista AIO and installed the 64 bit edition with the key supplied it is valid for both flavours.
You still have to use the double install method as it is an upgrade key.

Ended up with a few tampered with versions of the 64bit disc, so I decided to order one from microsoft, it was only £2.48 delivered, but I think it may be the wrong thing. Could anyone confirm that this is the right place to order a replacement vista disc from please?

    Thanks

Yeah that's the one. You'll just get a plain x64 disc with no COA sticker. I they only charge for postage. Your current COA should work fine AFAIK.

I bought a x64 disc to start with, so not tried it. Most people seem to wait a week or two.
