Thread: How do you lock the view of a folder in XP? eg List View

    How do you lock the view of a folder in XP? eg List View

    especially in external drives, seems every time i plug it in it chooses a random view for the folders but i want it to be permanentely set to "List View"

    such a simple thing for them to get wrong

    ps these new smilies are no good

    Tools -> Folder options -> View Tab -> apply to all folders

    not sure if it applies to XP as i havnt had a chance to look but thee is an option in vista under the folder options that remembers the views when ticked
