Does anyone know if you can save IE/Firefox favourite's on a network disk so that no matter which PC I log onto my favourite's are always upto date. It's becoming a major pain to update them all the time.
Cheers for any help

There's a firefox addin to do this for you, but I'm screwed if I can remember what it's called because I just don't use it any more.

In IE the favourites are stored as part of your profile, e.g. on XP - C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Favourites.
Depending on how you set up your network, if you enable roaming profiles and you as a user has permissions you can get windows to sync your documents and favourites etc to each machine you log on to.
Also take a look at the TweakUI power toy for XP, it lets you move the special folders around, and I believe the favourites folder can be moved to a network drive. (You'll have to do this on every machine you use tho...)

A more simple solution that works with any browser is to sign up at http://del.icio.us/ and use that as your bookmark repository. There are add-ons / bookmarklets that work with all modern browsers, so you don't have to lose out on functionality. It also makes it easier to share your bookmarks with other people. All pretty cool stuff.
Doh, yeah shoulda thought of that... I use AvantBrowser on my windoze machines and that has a personal storage facility for all your settings and favourites... very handy when you have to do a quick re-install...
But that's restricted to avantbrowser, so a universal version is pretty cool!
