    VLITE - Anyone using it?

I am making the move to Vista x64, and I want to make a disc with the latest drivers, especially for the graphics and RAID, so are there any dos and donts for VLITE, or is it just as straight forward as it seems?

Does anyone have the linky for downloading the updates for vista please? I'm using XP at the moment, and it keeps directing me to upgrade to vista, which I already have, but havent installed it yet.

    Thanks

I've not used vLite as yet, but have used nLite for donkey's years. The big thing seems to be not integrating both 32 and 64 bit textmode drivers as it causes issues - just put the x64 drivers in if that's what you need. I tend to dump all the drivers I want to integrate into a folder on my desktop, then point nLite to that, and pick what I need from there.

As for downloading the updates - Windows update works a little different in Vista in that it's based around an integrated client rather than the website (sorry if this is teaching you to suck eggs!), though you can grab the updates individually with a spot of judicious googling (Neowin tends to have the links as they're released, you could try there) ot Autopatcher might help (never used it myself though) - http://www.autopatcher.com/autopatcher-vista/

Re: VLITE - Anyone using it?

Sorry to bump an old thread .

Is there away to slipstream the hotfixes into the Vista DVD like you could with XP.

Ryanvm don't do any apart from this

    http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5167

The only way I see to update the DVD is with this

but if you click here it says Windows Vista last updated was 2007-03-04 which seems abit old for me
