    Accessing files

Both my wife and myself are listed as adminstrators and have password protection. Neither of us can access the others files without logging off and logging on as the other. Now I thought adminstrators had access to everything, obviously not. Any easy solution. Running XP

administrators have the ability to change permissions and take ownership of files.

eg: if a file is owned by bob - no-one else but bob can access or change those permissions, however the administrator can add "administrator" to the user/group list so that he can access it.

Put the administrator group as owner and do a recursive change of the whole disk, therefore you and your wife who are in the administrator group can have access to each others stuff.

Or - just change the permissions to read / write for "everyone" group.
    It is Inevitable.....
