Hi.
I have IE6 and just recently noticed that i had a new toolbar 'comet' i am unaware of installing a plugin or anything new. Comet itself is a cursur website, so nothing useful. anyway i tried to unstall it in control panel (add/remove programs) but i couldnt. it didnt show as having a size (in mb's.) Then i deleted the directory it had in Program Files, expected this to get rid of it, but it didnt. and it is still there in add/remove programs....

How do i get rid of it because it is really p****** me off!!!

Can anyone help? im running win2kpro.

Thanks mate, i already had ad-aware, just didnt think to run it. Last i ran it was sunday, i now have 176 new objects! ffs. hate internet carp.

Bonzai-buddy istalls comet cursor, as do some other ad-supprted proggies.

firefox is one way round it, opera is another - far less likely to get toolbars install themselves in firefox - (infact its never happened to me in firefox)
