Stretched photos in Vista Picture Gallery
Does anyone have an idea why all my photos that I view in Vista look as though they have been stretched horizontally?
My monitor is widescreen format, but nothing else looks as though it has been stretched when viewed on the screen, only photos.
This may be a daft question, but I have tried in vain to find an 'aspect ratio' command anywhere in the picture gallery and I am getting fed up with looking fat!
Re: Stretched photos in Vista Picture Gallery
I opened some 1280x1024 images using Photoshop, that were distorted in windows vista picture viewer, and it gave a message stating "pixel aspect ratio correction is for preview purposes only. turn it off for maximum image quality". I cannot find the option to turn it off in photoshop, nor can I find the option anywhere in windows. Many different searches on google have got me nowhere. If I download any other picture resolution, they work fine, display fine and I am able to use them as desktop wallpaper. But for some reason, any image of 1280x1024 is squashed horizontally, and I can't work out why.
