I have a 3 page doc, which I want to print the first page from tray 1 and the rest from tray 2.

Tray 1 contains card and is a front sheet.

Yep, you need to set it in your driver settings, which vary greatly from printer to printer.

You should be able to do this within Word itself, can't remember the specifics but I did this with a template doc for a customer a few years ago.

You can do this in page setup; under the paper tab you should have a paper source section; this allows the selection of different sources for the first and all other pages.

If you need the code for this, let me know and I'll dig it up. I wrote something similar to this a few months back at work which shouldn't require too much manipulation in order to do what you need. As someone stated above, this will need to be sent to the printer as two separate jobs.

Which printer will you be trying this on by the way?

You dont need to use 2 print jobs at all. Its in the page setup>paper source options in word since at least 2000

Woops, I misread the request as 3 pages each needing a different tray. My apologies!

No bother mate, that sounded a little harsher than it was meant to.
