I use Mozilla Thunderbird. Used to use Outlook; but liked the idea of T'bird because it was free (still is).
Have found out thought to my cost that you can import mail into T'bird but then to export it back to Outlook it's Mission:Impossible.
If you decide to check it out then you ought to run Outlook Express and T'bird simultaneously unitl you decide which one's best for you.
Outlook 2003 - it really floats my boat.

What exactly are the advantages of OutLook 2003 over OutLook Express?
Outlook express is like a really cut-down version of Outlook that only supports e-mail. It doesn't support Journals, Calendars, etc. It is also a lot more suseptable to viruses and things as it (used) to have a tendency to automatically execute things (which is what 90% of e-mail viruses were targetted at). One advantage with it is that it supports Newsgroups. But in general, it is Outlook with a lot less features.
Outlook 2003 has spam filtering

Doesn't matter, as I have trained SpamAssassin so well on my server that is has a 100% success rate, not a single spam has ever got through and it has never had a false match. It's also useful as it is global, so it doesn't matter what client I use, or anyone else using the server.Originally Posted by Howard
E-Mail viruses only work on Outlook Express (99% of the time). You will find Outlook blocks most attachments, scripting, activex and iframes, so it's not a problem.
It's still a voyage of no return thoughOriginally Posted by directhex
