    Advertisement services

Everyone knows of Google AdSense, but are there any other better advertisement services that a web publisher can use to try and make some money? Post any thoughts or comments.

The best way would be to sell advertising your self. Put an advert up offering advertising, or email some people who might be interested.
There's also yahoo and msn's version of adsense. have a look at forums.digitalpoint.com.

How many unique users a month are you getting, its best not to put advertising on a site until you get to the 5k a month mark.

Just out of curiosity, why is that? (Don't worry, my most popular website will be lucky to scrape 10 hits this month, and I'm not planning on putting ads on it any time soon).

Is it just that the admin / hassle of putting ads on isn't worth the 6 cents per year you'll earn? Or will it actually harm your traffic?
They told me I was gullible ... and I believed them.

It won't harm your traffic but it might put people coming back if the advertising is too overpowering.

Once you have a loyal readership you should look at placing adverts.
