    Data deletion for SD cards?

I've had someone contact me this morning to ask about how to securely delete data off SD cards - that is, make the data completely unrecoverable.

Anyone know of any software that can do this?

I'd imagine it would anything which will work on a hard-drive. Most recovery programs work fine with SD cards, so I'd imagine wiping programs would work too. Not something I've tried though.

I've used Eraser http://www.softpedia.com/get/Securit...g/Eraser.shtml to wipe old hard drives (it does this by overwriting it several times with carefully selected patterns), I'm pretty sure it can be pointed to any drive letter, so would do SD cards as well.

It's free so you may as well try it, but please make sure you aim it at the right drive.
