    Dual boot options

    hey,
Im finally about to build myself a new computer (my radeon 9600 pro is struggling to keep up lol) and I'm planning to run a dual boot system with vista and xp, i already have a copy of XP (32bit) obviously but im not sure whether i should go for vista premium x32 or x64. what would you lot recommend? any help would be much appreciated.

Ther are quite a lot of topics on this, and some pretty good readin if u search a bit. Basically i've run Vista x64 since its release, and had very few issues. The vista specific issues will affect tboth flavours (file copy issue etc...) but other than those x64 will be harder to find drivers for and have quirks with some older games and various software.

If you check that ur hardware is supported and stable drivers are available, and any apps/games you MUST have will deffo work, then there is no better desktop OS, none.

You wll prolly find urself enjoyin the experience of tryin different apps, there is some really cool stuff out there when ur forced to look....

let us know how it goes,

    PoDd

I would recommend saving your cash for now and sticking to XP.

If the service pack arrives soon, it might be worth having a look at, but until then, my personal view is to avoid it like a turd in a swimming pool.
