What DHCP server are you using ?
What OS are you using (I know its MS as its a jet database)
What version are you running ?
What point do you get that error - on a request, a release, what ?
    It is Inevitable.....

    Re: DHCP Server issues

    TiG,

I totally agree, however due to being a contractor I doubt that will happen. I am however looking for the best way to learn myself. I got a blackberry, trying to find some useful articles i can download onto it so that I can read on the train home etc.

    Re: DHCP Server issues

Question, if i reboot a dhcp server, that means I need to reboot the dns servers as well, so that people can connect to boxes through their dns names and not just ips right ?

    Re: DHCP Server issues

why would you need to reboot dns servers ??

dhcp allocates addresses to clients, thats nothing to do with DNS services.
