Windows XP wont let me access documents

I have restored a complete Windows XP installation and documents etc. onto a new hard disc D: It won't boot despite various utilities/checks etc.

I have therefore reinstalled Windows XP (inc SP2 etc.) onto my original disc C:. Thats working fine. But in trying to access documents (including outlook pst file) on the original installation on D: I am "access denied" (it was password and access portected to other family users on the original installtion, now on D

Is there any way to set up my new installation (or change the old one) to allow this access.

    Thanks

Anyone know how to retrieve all my offline messages for Outlook Express from my other disk?

Re: Windows XP wont let me access documents

Damn, which I'd have seen that a few months ago when I had the same problem. I went through the whole process of running the disc on a Linux distro, then slowly burning across all my data and formatting the disc. Arghghghg!!!
