Installing and booting Win 98 on a USB stick or cdr - possible?

With all the Bioshock fever that's arounf just now I really fancy playing some System Shock 2. I've dug my disk out, grabbed a bunch of graphics mods online and the latest patch. I've tried various settings in XP and Vista with no joy.

So, I was thinking about installing Win 98 - but not properly. I'd like to install it independently of my XP/Vista dual boot and maybe have ir running from a USB stick or burned disk.

Is there anyway I could do this, and not touch my other installs?

    Thanks.

Windows 98 on CD seems to be what you want.

It's the 4th entry returned by google on typing in 'Windows PE 98' .

SS2 ought to be fine in XP, by the way, as long as you patch it to the latest version. it does for me

Yes. Maybe should have thought of that, eh? Cheers!

It's all patched etc, but crashes randomly whether compatability is set or not. Same for Vista. I might be flicking a switch, or climbing a ladder, so it's no good.

    Cheers for the help.
