    Couple of usefull freebies....

Though I'd whack them here, first then let them get added to the sticky later.

Thanx. I hope it stops those damn worms. Baffles me how they keep getting in, as my AV and xp is always no more than 2 days out of date. Using Trend Pc-cillin2002 btw.

Huumm, Thanks im going 2 try out that qwik-fix as i think I’ve got blaster.exe on my comp,
Even tho i scan my comp 4 viruses it don’t pick any think up and i have the latest virus defs,
but if my firewall is off when i go on the net it tells me that blaster.exe is trying to connect to the net.

Then I get a great error message telling me the comp is going to shut down in 60seconds and that i have 60 secs to save any work...??? NICE

But now i got my firewall running it just stop blaster.exe connecting to the net but if i have got any think on my comp i want to get it off!!!

Im using Norton AV + Firewall 2003

Jiff, are those two patches two different patches, or the same patch, but
just from different sites ? If it's the first one, then can you use both
    patches together ?

2 different patches - the first patches vunerabilities in IE. The second warns you if anything tries to write itself to the startup registry.
