I have a linux boot disc that allows me to change my win2k and xp admin passwords from the command prompt (hacking the sam) but unfortunately this floppy has decided to die on me, I desperately need this facility back.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about and where I can download this boot setup or the files?

Hmm, I tried using the ISO off of that site in a nero bootable CD, it doesnt boot?
Is there a specific way to create a boot disc with an ISO... am I being stupid?
Yeah. In nero in the list of "new" whatevers. If u scroll down u will see CD-ROM (Boot).
U have to use this.

Thats what I tried, emulate floppy and yet it doesn't work. It boots to a blank screen, tried it twice.Quote:

I use that at work for when morons fiddle with things they shouldn't. Just burn the ISO.. it's a linux based idea.. and it will autoboot on laptops.. cause I have used it for that.. several times :)
Read the instructions for which script to run after it's booted. It's a piece of cake.
Thats all well and good but I CANNOT get Nero to make a bootable CD-Rom...
You are simply burning the iso image? not copying the iso to a bootable cd?
edit:Just read your post and as I read it, you're doing it wrong. Cancel the start up wizard, and select Burn Image. locate the ISO, then boot from that.

I don't want harddisk emulation do I? I don't actually drag and drop anything onto the disc do I as I thought Nero burns the boot sector and then the ISO image into the boot process so it auto loads on boot... ?

Do you need to emulate a floppy?
Both the ios's that Jiff and I have linked to you.. are images. You literally just burn image.. and boot off the CD. They don't need any emulation to included in the burn process :)
Also.. make sure you have "CD-Rom" as the first boot device in the laptop BIOS!
So I don't need to create a bootable CD, the BIOS can boot any CD? I create an ISO CD or 'image' CD...will have a go. :)
Correcto. Most laptops support booting from CD.
In nero.. do this...
Close the wizard as Jiff said...
Recorder->Burn Image...
Point it to the .iso you downloaded.. and burn...
That's all you need to do :)
