    Converter Supprting Quad Core?

    Just wondered if anyone knew of a converter that supported Quad Cores..

    Any help would be greatly appreciated,

    I dont know of any quad-core MPEG converters.
    CCE will utilise dual-core. You could split the file in two and run two instances of CCE for each.
    You'd have to glue them back together though. Probably more hassle than its worth.

    thats after a quick search for 'quad core' on there. I don't know of anything that will max out a quad. Some of the front ends could feasably be written to take advantage of 4 cores by launching tasks at the same time. Such as having the audio and video processing in parallel instead of one after the other.

    Have a hunt throug their forums though, there is bound to be more discussion on he subject.

    CCE will use about 60-70% of 3 of the cores and about 40% of the last core, so not great, but definitely doable.
