PowerDVD & WinDVD (different machines) for viewing DVD's; not a lot between them really, but I do just slightly prefer WinDVD, better menu, imo.
Winamp 2.81 for audio playback, I love Winamp
Have been trying Nero V6.0's media player for a short while now, it's not too bad, not too bad at all.
Very occasionally, will use Windows Media Player (latest one) for video file playback.
What do you all make of Real Player ?
Cheers

media player classic. under a meg, and if provided with codecs will play any file written with the 4 most popular encapsulations (mov, avi, mpeg including dvd, rm) as well as the less popular ones (ogm & matroska).
i use winamp 5 for mp3, and MPC for absolutely everything else.
http://www.netean.com/stp/ - STP (system tray player). A tiny mp3 player that has lots of options. Can be controlled using hot keys, or single, double, triple and quad clicks on the sys tray icon.
Winamp 5 for mp3s and radio, Mediaplayer+real alternative classic for videos.
K++ codec pack was the last set I used, but my PC is being reinstalled any reccomendations on codec packs?
ffdshow is all you need
