Well an AM2 4200+ (2.2GHz) does 5000 steps in about 29 minutes. Compaired to about 24-26 minutes of a Core2Duo T7200 (2GHz)

It's not melted yet, but the heat sync the CPU is connected to is hotter than i have felt it before

Ive been folding on my kids E6850 clocked at 3.6Ghz for a week now. Now Ive been waiting for my rig, well waiting for the new Intel Quads to see how perform. So do u guys reckon I shud wait a bit longer or just get a Q6600 and clock the sucka. I supoose I cud guess what most the answers are gonna be.. but its so tempting to wait just a bit longer for the new ones.
Any news of the new Intels? <--- directed to anyone that works at Hexus or has anyone that has heard anything?

Doing on my A64 3200 (@2.15GHz) atm, set it to use 95% CPU and it's doing 5000 steps every 40m or so. Can't wait to get it going on my Q6600 soon .

Anandtech has an article of Penryn vs Conroe and the differences clock for clock are not huge. They recommend just buying now.

Dont know if I should just get one now or wait, Im sure Anandtech couldn't have had the final product, it must have just been some demo chip or something surely?
