I find it quite amazing how far technology has come. I was doing 2500 steps every 40minutes on my 3200... Now, with my Q6600, i'm churning out 2500steps every 3mins45sec - over a 10 fold increase.
Anyone else have comparisons of their old vs. new?![]()

I wrote a post a few weeks ago about how surpirsed I was with my older single core and dual core amd X64's raping my new intel c2d's when doing video encoding.
I've not ran comparisions on my quad, but the difference in how much better the older amd's was really shocked me
It is Inevitable.....
My old PC was a Sempron 2800+, and it used to score about ~1500 points per 24hours of World Community Grid processing. My current overclocked Q6600 is getting at least 10 times that, probably nearer 12. I haven't been running it long enough to find out for sure.
The multiple cores are great for this kind of thing, however it's interesting to note that the single thread speed of a single core is only about 3x that of my 2800+.
