    does vista upgrade add copy proctection to non protected music?

    Hi,

    I have been happily running a MCE2005 computer for some time as a htpc.
    i recently upgraded it to vista to use the new media centre package. The upgrade when well, and all my data is available in the right place etc.

    However last night i went to burn a music cd of music my brother had recorded (his own music) and vista is telling me that i cant as it is copy protected. I never had this problem with mce2005. I tried it with other songs that i know burnt fine before and got the same message every time.

    So, does anyone know if a vista upgrade adds copy protection to every file automatically, even if it was not originally protected. A bit of a shame if it does....

    I think Vista just generally assumes that we're all dirty rotten thieves.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();
