Hey folks hope all are well,
Trying to figure out whther Google maps' search link can be adapted for different postcodes. We have a search tool on our companies website, and at the moment it links through to Streetmap.co.uk using a trimmed down version of their grid numbers. A couple of problems arise:
- Streetmap is littered with ads...so heaven only knows what else lurks. Not good PR if someone gets a stack of nasty cookies on their PC.
- The "trimmed down" grid numbers give a central point with 5 miles square...hardly usefull in a city/town.
Trying to see if I can take googles URL and modify that for postcode searches instead. Has anyne tried somthing similar to this? If so what were your good/bad points?
Thanks.
