    Lto3

    We've had an HP LTO3 based backup system for about 6 months now, and it still keeps impressing me.
    I've just ran a backup job and its averages 2.2GB/min excluding the time to mount the tapes. We also haven't had any sort of failure of any kind related to the hardware so far (I know its early days)
    This thing's well worth the £2000 odd we spent on the drive

    Good isn't it We backup about 600GB of data every night, the speeds frighten me

    Our LTO3 4 drive library backs up an entire DC - the only bad thins was the cheap and nasty tesco value tape magazines that HP sent us , but we've got some decent ones now and its peachy...
