Back in May, when I started folding, we were 5843 rd.
A month ago we were all top 2500th, and now, we're nearly top 1100!!!
Does anyone know anyone else we can get on board? we NEED folding power, because
TEAM HEXUS ROCKSand we NEED to be top 1000

I'll leave my Rig on over the weekend, and "accidentally" leave my work PC on again.
I'm thinking of putting it on my mothers PC as well as she's got a 3500+ 939 system with 2 Gb ram and half the time it's just logged in doing nothing apart from being sat on MSN.
I have a shuttle that's doing nothing - might see if I can install linux on it and get it folding for a few extra WUs (though it's pretty low grade, so it won't make anything like the impact that my 2 dual core boxes but I guess every little helps
EXACTLY the reason I did it. My mum leaves it on and logged into MSN half the weekend, apart from the odd half hours she spends playing with Ikea Home planner or researching family tree stuff.
I think everyone should get their mum folding for hexus!

the training place/college im at, at the mo has 36 ish dual core machines, which I believe are left on over night, will ask my lecturor about installing the clients on them, so they could crunch durning the night! He's a decent enough chap, so will see what he says. Cant promise anything though.

thinking about it ive got an old-ish linux box somewhere which I could rig up to my router set it running then let it go headless, it should be ok running 24/7 shouldnt it? It wont be that quick or powerful but it would help
PS3s and ATI cards are all very well, but dual and quad cores are great as well. You might not churn out the WUs like the others, but they are more valuable.

Fat_Jez has only sumitted 30 WUs, but they are worth a lot each as the data is more suited to SMP machines. Stream processors like the PS3 and X1900s can only deal with particular folds. SMP and the regular single core clients can handle anything thrown at them.
