Re: Download accelerators
I ws going to say none, they are all useless.
But then i realised you mean Download managers.
But then i don't use any, so can't comment.
Re: Download accelerators
Re: Download accelerators
DownThemAll! 0.9.9.10 firefox extension stuck in my mind, last time I needed to use one.
Re: Download accelerators
Flashget and Flashgot as a combo if you're using Firefox.
Re: Download accelerators
I bought and paid for "Internet Download Manager" as I really like it's cross-browser integration/features. http://www.internetdownloadmanager.com/
Re: Download accelerators
Getright is my download manager of choice, though it's not free. It's nagware, which means it's "free" but you have to put up with the messages asking you to buy it every now and again. Failing that, DownThemAll extension for firefox is good.
Re: Download accelerators
Surely you can just use Firefox, click to download everything and anything you want and pause and unpause as you see fit?
Torrent programs are good for managing too, but obviously they only work with torrents ;)
Re: Download accelerators
depends - if you want to soak your bandwidth then a download manager is a good way to do it (if it supports multi part downloading) :)

.
Re: Download accelerators
yep it's mainly for the download parts, if I click on save target as I get around 1000k/s, if I use a download manager I get around 1600k/s, in theory I should be getting over 2000k/s as that's my sync speed but I generally download from the US so doubt i'll get it that high.
Re: Download accelerators
Another one for downthemall for firefox.
Re: Download accelerators
Thanks for reminding me of the firefox addons I needed to install after my xp rebuild.
Re: Download accelerators
getright and firefox, using flashgot. getright has the most features i think, plus the interface is really nice.
