    Question Vista64 Webcam issues (again)

    Hello All,

I have a Logitech Communicator STX webcam and Vista64 (full specs in "My System"). I have downloaded the appropriate drivers from Logitech and installed the webcam (several times now).

It seems to install OK, but the webcam image is garbled (lots of random colours and blocks). I can play previously recorded videos from this webcam, so I don't think it's a codec issue.

I've looked around and there seem to be many issues with webcams and Vista, but I haven't found anything similar to this.

Also, should the webcam appear in (My) Computer as it did under XP?

    Any ideas?

    Cheers.

Just in case anyone else has the same problem.

I installed the webcam via a USB hub. Now works fine.

Cheers for that. I'm having issue with my Logitech 5000Pro. It seems to have issue with the latest Logitech software and my Creative Soundblaster X-Fi. I just get now sound. Think I may give your workaround a try.
