evil sound glitch from hell

hey.
for some bizzare reason, every audio convo i have, people on the other end can hear what i HEAR but not what i SAY.

eg. if i'm listening to music and talking about my day, they only hear the music...

the problem is definitely not my headset that i use because i unplug it and they can still hear everything that my pc is trying to send to my unconnected speakers. very strange and no one has any idea why it does this...

its ur sound card configurations. You have it recording your wave/mp3 instead of your mic.
Start\programs\accessories\entertainment\volume control --> options tab > properties> somewhere in there should be "playing" and "recording" go to recording and make sure microphone is checked. Now come out of the properties back into the volume control and make sure the mic is checked and the wave/mp3 is not
