    Mouse acceleration in XP

    I have my intellipoint software set to maximum pointer speed and Enhance Pointer Precision checked.

    Is there a way of speeding the pointer up? I dont want to uncheck Enhance Pointer Precision, as it makes the pointer really jerky, I just want a couple of extra points on the pointer speed slider! Any ideas?

    u can try a REGEDIT to increase the speed at which your mouse comunicates with your pc. default is around 80mhz, so crank it up to 200mhz (basically overclock your mouse!)

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesi8042prtParameters]
    "SampleRate"="200"
    if it ain't broke...fix it till it is
