Not very surprising to be fair, I think Steve's sales tactics appear to be as corrupt as the government they sold to...

It is ironic that one of the emotional arguments for DRM and against software & music piracy is that the pirates are controlled by organised crime.

    How....

Enless its because of interferance by the Bill & Millinda gates foundation, what are they complaining about?

You can't go crying because someone has said, well actually we are going to foreful the contract we have with you completely, but you're going too loose out of any luctrative SAS type charges because we're using a different vendor.

Some people really need to grow the hell up, mabye ask why they got dropped, and look at making their product better in the eyes of the people who made that decision.

    Dear Pete Dochety,

I find it un-exceptable that you slept with kate moss, and i didn't. From all accounts i'm a much more stable person.....

The implication was that backhanders had been offered to officials in the government concerned. However if that was the case (or suspicion) I'm not sure that an open letter is quite the way to get it addressed.

just another example of microsoft abusing its monopoly, as usual. nothing surprising at all, when a single commercial organisation has that much power and money it is not hard for it to corrupt everything it deals with

    And

While I am dissapointed to see what has happened in the version of events from the open letter, there is also clearly some leaning on resources to have someone pay for mandriva then re-install with a different OS - at the same time, MS costing to educational projects makes it a cheap and mainstream solution.

I agree with ultra magnus's sentiments - but unfortunatly, Windows for educational institutes is a good option.
    It is Inevitable.....

Ohhhhh look at you sir.. I'm not denying it but the reality is that this isn't unique to the big satan of the software world. It's amazing what money can do..
We'll never know for sure though - because those who know the truth will be silenced by the men in black. Incidentally, there's going to be a new X-Files film.

Re: An open letter to Steve Ballmer

its not a conspiracy, microsoft has already been convicted of abusing its dominant market position.... there is no reason to expect that it would do anything else in any other situation.
