hello,
With MS's standard disk defrag utility becoming more of a joke with each version of Windows released, I am looking for a 3rd party disk defragmenter. Can anyone reccomend any? I've tried Perfect Disk, this one seems to be the best so far.![]()

Industrial espionage is simply the sincerest form of flattery......
2nd computer gigabyte P965ds3p, 7770 E2140@2.9ghz, corsair HX520 6 years stable, replaced now with E8400@3.9ghz and will overclock more when I'm bored.
My favourite is Diskeeper![]()
Auslogics is good, as is Vopt XP.
So what's actually the problem with the Vista defrag? I don't have Vista yet, so just interested...
diskeeper is the one i use.
it's pretty good, and i'm looking at revies for the latest vesion 2008 as it's meant to work really well even when the hard disk is pretty full.
Another vote for Disktrix Ultimate Defrag - I used to use Perfect Disk, but not any more!
Try to make each and every day the best it can be.
Diskeeper
I was worried about it's automatic background defrag eating up resources, but even mouse movement can cause it to stop o.O Which is good, of course!
The only problem with diskeeper is the price - the best home version costs £99![]()
Technically they should not sell to you through the US website, since you skip local EU and UK taxesThe UK website and amazon all give the outrageous price I quoted....
I-faast is a good idea, it's just a shame that they priced it out of the market ¬.¬
I quite like perfect disk. Only $39.99 for a single license. When you click on buy from the UK site it takes you straight to the american one listed in dollars, so it should be 100% legit.
You could try This
