Removing Skype Links from Webpages

Guys,

When you install skype, every time a phone number is listed on a website skype highlights it as an skype link with a grey box and country flag around it.

I'd like to remove this function, as it messes up the layouts of certain sites and its a function I don't think I'd ever use.

Any tips from regular skype users ?

From what I remember that 'feature' is a web browser add-on that was installed when you installed Skype.

You can remove the IE version from Add/Remove programs and the Firefox version is just a FF extension which you can remove in the usual way.

well I can only see "skype" in the add / remove programs list, so while I see what your saying, I don't think it can be removed that simple.

I've just found it in tools --> enable / disable addons

so its a plug in both ie and firefox that can be enabled or disabled.
