Top 500. Well Done Team Hexus Folding@home
GUYS.....sincere congrats to you.
Not sure what kinda records we may have broken, bu for me, it counts as an all time high :)
I started folding on 25 May 2007. First few days were wasted with worng Omega drivers for my Radeon. Since then we've moved up from 5843rd place....
to the top 500.
Thats frankly amazing :)
Some of the teams that we;ve nuked have been doing this for many years.
Well done.....from now it gets hard!

Cheers,
If you had not started the hexus new folderd thread back in August I probably would never have joined. So well done for that.
You can guarantee as soon as I get PS3 it will be folding 24hours for the hexus team, (except when I am playing it of course :)).
Keep up the good work team- I looking forward for us being in the top 400 soon.

I've been folding for years, but it's nice to finally be part of a team that is going places.
Just need the Mobo and GFX for my folding rig and then I'll have that one up and running
Good effort all
Hugs!

Re: Top 500. Well Done Team Hexus Folding@home
gone up from a single cored 939 to dual cored 939 on all 3 main systems in the house. It now means we've got some crunching hardware :)
Re: Top 500. Well Done Team Hexus Folding@home
added another 24/7 machine :)
Re: Top 500. Well Done Team Hexus Folding@home
Looks like i've got the setup nailed at work, points have really hit this weekend so far, lets hope they are still folding after completing the unit. DirectHex is right that the windows SMP client on a commercial scale situation is utterly appalling.
But looks like some further modifications have at least given some stablity, just to get rid of all these FileIOerrors etc.

the following clients exist:
* PS3 (uses ps3 cell cpu)
* CPU (either SMP or Uniprocessor; for Linux x86/x86-64, Mac PPC/x86/x86-64 & Windows x86/x86-64)
* GPU (Radeon x1-series or higher, Windows only)

Well played Team Hexus, and now I gift to you, the spare cycles of my E6750, after finally getting the Windows SMP Client going right!

For a while it seemed like Radeon cards gave the best performance in a PC, even better than CPU performance... but then we realised that actually running SMP on a dual or quad core CPU gave much quicker and better results with more points :D
... although on some machines, the Radeon X1900 series will still outperform the CPU.
