Pro PC but windows XP taking age to boot on to windows desktop?
Not sure why but when i get to the log on screen and enter my password, hit enter... it takes about a minute before it pops up with the windows Desktop???
Have tried MSconfig and unselected not needed services but still no joy?
Any ideas? :ill:

Kaspersky 6 AV
Have been using it a wile with out any problems... Been meaning to try and sort this prob out for a few weeks now, so I'm not sure if it started happening after a certain program was installed?

How big is your profile? Have you stored any files on your desktop? Could be that it's just taking a long time to load your profile if it's huge. Also, on msconfig, did you check the startup items and removed everything not necessary? How many programs do you have starting up on logon?

I have NOD32 on all my systems and it does not slow down system boot/load. Is the delay in getting network settings perhaps?
