MS Exchange 2007
Hi,
We have implemented Exchange 2007 and we are having issues when seeing mailboxes. We get an error:
Warning:
Object xxx.xx.xx/xxx_Users/username has been corrupted and it is in an inconsistent state. The following validation errors have been encountered:
Warning:
"username" is not valid for UserPrincipalName. Valid values are: Strings that includes '@', where '@' cannot be the last character..
Does anyone have a solution for this since im struggling on a number of users.
Thanks

Re: MS Exchange 2007

Re: MS Exchange 2007
I helped a friend out with this problem. It seems the problem was created about 7 years ago when several NT4 domains were merged. The users were exported from the original domains then added to a new domain using 'addusers.exe' but it seems the original CSV used to add the users had white spaces all over the place.
It wasn't a problem until Exchange 2007 was installed so we scripted a removal of all the white spaces at the end of the following fields - displayName, givenName, initials, sAMAccountName, & sn.

Re: MS Exchange 2007
Hi Burble,
Could you show me the Exchange Shell command or the script please.
Thanks

Re: MS Exchange 2007
I've emailed my mate and asked him if he still has the script.
What youy could try is to fix one user manually. Fire up adsiedit and go down through the domain in the relevant OU and then find the user in question. Right click, properties and then look for the attributes I mentioned.

Re: MS Exchange 2007
Ok, I'll try that first with one user. But if you can get the script then that would be great.
Thanks for the help

Re: MS Exchange 2007
Do the users effective have the userPrincipalName set correctly?
I the error is saying that the userPrincipalName either ends in '@', have you checked this?
